Greetings from Porto.

Our friend, Ernesto, who I like to call our Sabah Correspondent, has made it to the city of Porto, Portugal. He's been sending notes & photos along the way, which we've compiled into a travel guide as you consider your next summer adventure. Porto looks delicious!

Ernesto did it all wearing our most classic of classics: Fort Worth Brown & Baleen Blue Sabahs.

"Arriving in Porto, I checked into The Editory Boulevard nestled on Avenida dos Aliados, right in the heart of the Historic Center, a UNESCO World Heritage Site boasting the city's rich heritage. The hotel's prime location meant it was just a stone's throw away from the iconic "Capilla de las Almas" ( Chapel of   Souls ), famed for its mesmerizing exterior adorned with traditional Portuguese blue tiles, the perfect backdrop to showcase my vibrant blue Sabahs!"

Mercado do Bolhão.

"On my leisurely stroll back to the hotel, I stumbled upon the lively  Mercado do Bolhão . The market buzzed with energy, its vibrant colors and diverse offerings drawing me in. Dating back over a century, its neoclassical façade and bustling interior offered an authentic glimpse into Porto's culinary scene. I couldn't resist joining fellow visitors in savoring fresh pastries and Portuguese tapas, paired with a delightful Porto wine, amidst the market's charming ambiance."

Barberi Tinoco.

"Exploring the winding streets of Porto led me to  Barberi Tinoco , a fascinating barbershop and treasure trove of history and craftsmanship. Adorned with premium hats and exuding old-world charm, the shop welcomed me warmly. Meeting  Sven Fiel , the shop manager and renowned hatmaker, was a highlight. Sven shared insights into hat-making traditions and regaled me with tales of his global journey as a hatmaker. As evening approached, Sven invited me to join him at Miradouro Das Virtudes, a local hotspot to catch the sunset, enjoy beers, and engage in spirited rounds of chess, showcasing Porto's bohemian spirit."

Douro River.

"Rising early on my final day, I yearned to witness Porto differently. After a rejuvenating breakfast at my newfound favorite spot,  NOLA Kitchen , known for its healthy menu and welcoming atmosphere, I crossed the majestic Luis Bridge and explored the riverside. Finding myself alone on a secluded dock across the Douro River, I seized the opportunity for a tranquil photoshoot and a blissful sunbath, bidding farewell to Porto in style."
