One of my very favorite Sabahs, of all time, is back in stock as of today: Palma Green.
It's a vibrant green leather that's made by one of the best tanners in Turkey. His name is Cafer.
We met in the early days of Sabah, and I certainly feel lucky to know him. He's a rare one, and largely responsible for my education in good leather.
Almost a decade ago, as I began to understand that the Sabah, itself, is only as good as the quality of the leather, I told Cafer I only wanted to make the best, no matter the cost.
With his customers mostly focused on reducing cost, he smiled and was up to the task.
This is how, amongst several other of our longstanding colors, Palma Green was born. It all starts with sourcing, where Cafer employs someone to hand-pick every single raw hide for Sabah; only full grain, quality A, and from certified sources.

From there, we only use high quality ingredients in the tanning process - no cheap synthetics, and no paint. And then we take our time. No rushing - every hide is drum-dyed, sometimes multiple times, and finished carefully with a blend of waxes & oils to provide rich color and a resilient, matte finish.
Every batch is inspected before being shipped to our workshop, and inspected again upon arrival.
Palma Green was one of the first leathers we produced with Cafer under this initiative.
And to this day, it might still be my favorite.
My Personal Palmas.

That's my very own pair of Palma Green Sabahs. How well they've aged speaks to the quality of this leather -- full grain, drum-dyed, and finished with a bit of wax for a resilient matte texture.
Seeing Green Around the World.
Palma Green is not only uniquely eccentric, but it also walks the fine line of extreme versatility - seamlessly fitting into any occasion, destination, & time of day.
