Today, we take you to the West Coast of Hawai'i Island to meet our friend, Nani Welch Keli'iho'omalu - a Native Hawaiian photographer and creative from Waimea, Hawaiʻi.

Nani introduced us to a favorite spot within Kalahuipua'a Historic Park, where soft sand & preserved lava fields meet ocean fed fish ponds & towering palm trees. Traveling inter-island, Nani took us Holoholo - a colloquial Hawaiian word which means taking a leisurely cruise somewhere familiar, or traveling somewhere for fun.

In this case, she did so wearing our new chartreuse suede Sabahs & Babas, which she then suggested we give the same name -- a pair we certainly imagine traveling with, leisurely, this Spring & Summer.

Some images to follow, enjoy!

Nani traveled to the West Coast of Hawai'i Island, where she stayed at the Manau Lani resort.

The area is known for its beautiful beaches & native flora.

Naturally, we had to ask Nani: Where to Next?

That's a hard one cause I would usually just say “all over." I’m back in Honolulu right now before catching a flight home to Hawaiʻi island for another job. In a week or so, I’ll be heading to Mexico with some friends then next month to Taiwan for a wedding then Japan right after. I can’t sit still! But I always find comfort knowing Hawaiʻi is waiting for me to come home.'
