$395Ancona Brown Alto Boot
Made by the hands of skilled shoemakers in Monte San Guisto, Italy, our Alto Boots come from a storied lineage of high quality craftsmanship. Using an artisanal stitchdown construction, requiring highly skilled & steady hands, this method results in an exceptionally durable boot that can take extensive wear, without sacrificing style or comfort. Our Alto Boot is crafted with water resistant Italian suede, which is rugged without losing its soft & supple nature. The insole and midsole are made of 100% vegetable tanned leather which allows them to form uniquely to your feet. Finally, each pair of Alto Boots is finished with a genuine, semi-transparent, rubber outsole which is textured for maximum traction & fully resoleable through a local cobbler. Enjoy!

Care
Our Alto Boots are made from water resistant Italian suede, meaning a suede protectant is not required, but may be applied for additional protection. The best way to care for your Alto Boots is to clean them from time-to-time with a suede brush. If they get particularly dirty, any decent cobbler can also help spiff them up! When wet, allow them to air dry without heat.
dealer's notes

Your Questions Answered
How do I determine my proper size?
All of our styles are true to size; however, each unique silhouette differs numerically.
You can expect to take a different sizeway for Altos, Sabahs, Turkish made backless Babas, & El Paso made Babas. You can view the exact style type on the relevant product page.
We recommend selecting the numerical size that directly corresponds to your typical EUR/US shoe size in the drop down menu on each specific product page.
We certainly understand that juggling various numbers, sizes, & fits can feel daunting at first, so please do not hesitate to drop us a line for guidance & support!
How should my pair fit?
Our Altos are true to size and should fit quite comfortably from the very start. The entire boot will "break-in" & soften with use, increasing the flexibility of the sole and inviting them to form uniquely to your feet.
The forepart of the Alto is fully lined with 100% vegetable tanned leather, which adds support and helps retain the shape of the boot as well as wicking away humidity from your feet.
The hand stitched seam at the back is not only a distinctive design element, but also mitigates friction on the inside of the boot as it reinforces and supports your heel.
You can expect the Altos to stretch slightly with time & use.
